The data used in this tool comes from Harnham’s 2023 Salary Guide, which uses data from an independent salary survey of thousands of data professionals across the globe, along with proprietary data collected by Harnham.

At this time we offer reporting for the UK, US, France, and the Netherlands.

Our UK, Netherlands and US reports and salary checker are now live. France will be available from the 10th August 2023. Please check back then.

We will also be offering the guide, translated into French and Dutch as soon as we can.

For a smooth user experience on our checker, we’ve simplified our data into 3 core levels – entry, mid and senior. These refer to:

Entry level: Starting out their Data career in an entry-level role, perhaps having achieved their first promotion or en-route to a managerial position.

Mid level: Experienced hands-on technical position OR managing people OR leading projects

Senior level: Leading large teams or business units comprising of more technical teams in one or more verticals / specialisms.
